School’s out wins ofsted outstanding twice in one week!

Two School’s Out out-of-school childcare Clubs – School’s Out @ Cloverlea Primary School, Timperley and School’s Out @ Heyes Lane, Timperley – BOTH achieved the highest Ofsted rating of ‘Outstanding in all areas’ in the space of one week during March. This follows in the footsteps of their sister setting Hale Day Nursery which received their Ofsted Outstanding rating just the week before.

School’s Out offers childcare clubs at 8 local primary schools: Altrincham Preparatory, Bollin, Bowdon C of E, Cloverlea, Heyes Lane, Navigation, Well Green & Worthington, and is part of the local Elmscot Group of childcare settings, which also includes the highly regarded and award-winning Broussa, Elmscot, Hale and Woodlands Day Nurseries, all located in the Altrincham area. This is an incredible achievement for the Elmscot Group to receive three Ofsted Outstanding awards in just two weeks. This means that 8 of their 12 childcare settings judged Ofsted Outstanding – a level of quality not matched by any other regional provider.

The Ofsted inspector found that staff provide children with a rich, varied and imaginative range of exciting and challenging activities, based on children’s interests. These activities successfully complement children’s learning in school and enable them to continue to make rapid progress. Children’s self-esteem sense of belonging and feelings of emotional security are effectively promoted to the highest level.

The inspector said that staff experience and expertise made a significant contribution to our outstanding practice, creating a culture of vigilance where safety and welfare are promoted to the highest level.

Ofsted also reported that there are excellent relationships between the Clubs, Parents and Schools.

Hannah Reeves, School’s Out’s Group Manager, said “The Ofsted inspector recognised that we are passionate, enthusiastic and committed to providing children with the very best care and support for learning. She felt our consultation with children was exceptional, contributing to high levels of engagement, interest and enthusiasm.

To have maintained our Ofsted Outstanding grade in all areas by Ofsted is a fantastic accomplishment which reflects the dedication of the entire team. School’s Out are committed to delivering high-quality childcare and education to all children on a daily basis and we are delighted that the inspector recognised this.”

School’s Out is currently recruiting Playworkers and childcare professionals who share the same approach. Anyone interested can find further information at www.schoolsoutgroup.co.uk/now-recruiting.
