School’s Out’s Hoedown Disco raises over £1000 for CAFT!

School’s Out’s annual Disco – this year with a Hoedown theme – raised an amazing £1,018.85 for the Children’s Adventure Farm Trust, which will help make a huge difference to many children and their families. CAFT is a local charity providing fun days, magical holidays and respite breaks for terminally ill, chronically sick, disabled and disadvantaged children from all over the North West.

School’s Out is a group of outstanding out-of-school childcare Clubs operating at 8 local primary schools: Altrincham Preparatory, Bollin, Bowdon C of E, Cloverlea, Heyes Lane, Navigation, Well Green & Worthington, and is part of the local Elmscot Group of childcare settings, which also includes the highly regarded and award-winning Broussa, Elmscot, Hale and Woodlands Day Nurseries all located in the Altrincham area.

The event was planned and organised by staff from across the entire Elmscot Group, who gave up their Saturday to run the event. The Elmscot Group team are passionate about CAFT and are thrilled to have that they raised such an amount.

The children danced the afternoon away and even learned some line dancing. There was a Coffee Bar for parents, face painting and tattoos, a hotdog stall, lucky dip, a very exciting raffle as well as an official photographer producing their own souvenir keyrings.

School’s Out would like to thank all who supported this event and generously donated. One parent said “We loved the disco on Saturday. It was a really well-thought out event and the kids had a great time!” and another said their son couldn’t wait for next year – neither can School’s Out!
